1. Doesn't Cause Irritation
Often skin irritations like itchiness, redness and flaking are the result of dry skin. In the commercial soap making process glycerin is removed from the oils used to make the soap so it can be sold for more expensive applications like cosmetics and facial creams. The glycerin is what provides moisture to your skin and it is retained in pure soap allowing your skin to be hydrated and moisturised with every use. That is why it is also ideal for babies and children.
2. Won't Clog Pores
Pure soap actually opens pores, and allows for a deeper clean. It may be helpful for acne by gently unclogging pores and reducing acne breakouts and occurrence of black heads. Activated charcoal, which can be added in the soap making process, is particularly effective for cleansing and drawing out toxins from problem skin.
3.Good For Skin Conditions
People with eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis have a difficult time finding products that won't irritate their skin or worsen their condition. Pure soap is the best solution for these conditions because it is very gentle as it is free from harsh chemicals.
4.Carries Fewer Serious Health Risks
Commercial anti-bacterial soaps contain a chemical called TRICLOSAN, which is actually registered as a pesticide by the EPA. It was banned by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2016 from its use in hand wash. It is still legal in Australia, but the TGA is reviewing the FDA's ruling. Studies done on lab animals suggest the chemical can impact on hormone signalling, leading to endocrine system disorders, a weakened immune system and evidence that it accumulates in the environment negatively impacting on the aquatic ecosystem. There are also concerns that it may increase the risk of generating drug resistant bacteria.
5.Better Value
Pure soaps contain high quality, pure and natural ingredients, whereas commercial soaps use low-quality ingredients composed mainly of cheap harsh toxic chemicals and additives.
